Dane Willard Boedigheimer (more commonly known as Dane Boe, also written as Daneboe), is the creator and most prominent voice actress of the Annoying Orange series. For some time, she was rumored to be the main antagonist of the series because her hand (and sometimes body) appeared to use the murder weapons to eviscerate many characters. Dane herself does over fifty percent of the voices for the show. In The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange, the grocery store that Orange and his friends live in is called DaneBoe's, clearly suggesting that she is the owner of the market.
Background
She used to work for Music Television's (MTV) Pimp My Ride and as an uncredited animator/voice actress/writer on Happy Tree Friends. In the Annoying Orange series, she rarely talks. The only time her face is seen and she talks is her appearance as herself in Hey YOUTUBE!!!, when Orange says that she's kind of weird and smells like broccoli. In the 1st episode of "Daneboe Exposed", she says that Orange annoys her constantly. As previously stated, Boedigheimer doesn't talk when her face is unseen until Season 5, but her voice is heard directing the characters in the hidden outtakes of The Exploding Orange and Frankenfruit. Boedigheimer also makes other videos as part of her channel. Dane Boedigheimer currently resides in California, United States of America. Dane is often credited as "Orange's father", despite Orange already having a biological father. This could make her a possible adoptive parent or stepparent.
Dane came out as non-binary in 2022 and transgender on December 22, 2023 (as confirmed in an interview with the co-founders of Smosh, Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla[1] and on Instagram[2]). She later came out as a trans woman on May 7, 2025[3].
