Emoji was the main subject of the episode "Annoying Orange vs Emojis!". He first appeared when Orange mistook him for his own reflection and challenged him to mimic silly faces. Emoji explained he was not a reflection or food, just an emoji. After transforming into various different emojis, including a frog face, the kitchen crew recruited him for "Operation: Peace and Quiet" to distract Orange. When the plan began, Emoji and Orange started playing copycat, but as Emoji made a zipper-mouth face, which Orange also mimicked, Emoji gave the signal as Orange’s mouth was sealed shut with a zipper and then secured with a padlock by Pear, Midget Apple, and Marshmallow. With Orange silenced, Emoji mentioned he had free time before returning to the set of The Emoji Movie 47. Marshmallow requested a puppy, Midget Apple asked for a truck, and Pear requested a bug since he was reading a book about bugs. Emoji transformed into each one. Orange began making muffled noises, and the others assumed he wanted to make an emoji request. They unzipped him for a moment, but instead of a request, Orange shouted "Frog face" as a warning. Emoji misunderstood and believed that was Orange’s intended request, which annoyed him. However, a real frog suddenly appeared and swallowed him whole.
