Spot the Fruitfly was the main antagonist of the Annoying Orange episode Pet Peeve. Orange had began keeping him as a pet, completely unaware of the fact that he was a herbivorous insect that prays on fruit. Pear and Midget Apple had given him multiple warnings, and their point was proven when Spot began eating the bananas. Spot then began eating Pear. Pear was extremely frightened by this, and became even more startled when a fruit spider approached Spot and ate him. However, Orange had explained that he came from a litter, immediately revealing that their kitchen was suffering from a temporary fruit fly infestation.
