Veggie Zombies were the main subject of the episode Night of the Veggie Zombies. The Broccoli Overlord brought them to life when human children threw them away because they thought "vet-gables were icky". Later that same evening, however, it was revealed that Orange had a disease known as gigglechuckleitis, a disease that caused Orange to laugh uncontrollably at his own jokes. He had visited Dr. Sigmund Fruit to help cure himself, which he had done successfully. However, shortly after he had announced that he was cured, zombie rutabaga began attacking Apple. Orange then devised a plan to get rid of the zombies using Ranch Dressing, which veggie zombies were severely reactive to. They repeatedly tried to wipe out the zombies but were unsuccessful until Orange began chuckling as Pear slipped over Lester Banana's peel. Orange and the gang then found out that his laugh was infectious to the zombies. Orange managed to wipe them all out using his incessant and obnoxious laugh. However, some of them survived the blow (as shown when a zombie eggplant was barking on Nerville's shoulder). Many of them later appeared in Top 5 Ways to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse, in many scenarios in which Orange would survive a zombie apocalypse. However, he was attacked by Pear as a zombie in the final scenario.
